Burn Pits 360 Illinois

07/22/2026

I'm deeply honored to be speaking at the 32nd Biennial Conference of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police.

To stand before the men and women who wear the badge — the professionals, lodge leaders, and supporters who give so much to protect our communities — is a privilege I don't take lightly. Having served in uniform myself, I know the weight this work carries, and I know the strength that comes from standing together.

This premier event brings together law enforcement professionals, lodge leaders, and supporters from across the state for two days of meaningful dialogue, impactful training, networking, and fraternal fellowship. As we navigate the evolving challenges facing our profession, it's a vital opportunity to strengthen our shared commitment to the safety of our communities, the welfare of our members, and the future of law enforcement in Illinois.

I'm looking forward to the conversations, the connections, and the fellowship ahead. Thank you for having me.

This is the hidden cost of service.

Veterans are 57.9% more likely to develop cancer after service than civilians. Many of these cases are linked to toxic exposures like burn pits and airborne hazards during deployment.

Burn Pits 360 is working to ensure veterans receive the recognition, healthcare, and support they deserve.
