Good evening, Fisher County... A weather update from the National Weather Service of San Angelo stating the flash flood warning remains in effect until 08:30 p.m. for central Fisher County.. The radar indicated showers and a few lingering thunderstorms producing moderate rain across the warned area.. Reported flooding on highway 92 east of Rotan. Radar estimates that rainfall of 2 to 3 inches, with up to 3.5 inches, occurred along a swath from northeast of Rotan to west of Roby to Capitola and west of Gannon. With ongoing moderate rain, flash flooding could be occurring in these areas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include.. Rotan, Roby, Longworth, Busby, Capitola, and Gannon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

We just received word from the Rotan Volunteer Fire Department that they will be testing the tornado sirens around 1:00 pm this afternoon.

On May 28, 2026 at approximately 8:30 pm, the Fisher County Sheriff's Office arrested Mark Jackson McCall for the offense of Terroristic Threat and the offense of Harassment. McCall was taken into custody without incident.

On May 27, 2026 at approximately 6:36pm, Fisher County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of Ronald Medrano for the charge of Possession and Delivery of Ma*****na.

On May 27, 2026 at approximately 10:37 AM, Fisher County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of Alissa Paladino for an outstanding warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle out of Coke County.
