Thank you Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, Tricia Herrera, her staff, The primary sponsor, Burlington Junction Railway, Fairways Golf course, Luna and staff, the Chamber Board, City Staff that helped, all of the donors of prizes, as well as all the golfers. In spite of some bouts with rain, storms, and some lightning, it was a fantastic day, with fun, laughs and networking by all. Im sorry if I missed anyone, because I know it takes a collaborative effort from many.

Congratulations to Eloise & Macynzie for displaying the opportunities of a home base business. We are proud of you!!

1st Ave intermittent lane closures begin June 9th

Rochelle, IL – City Engineer, Sam Tesreau, has announced that 1st Ave, from 8th Street to 2nd Street, will experience intermittent lane closures to through traffic beginning June 9th at 7am and continue over the next several weeks.

The work is necessary to remove pavement, construct new inlets, sidewalk and curb/gutter along with restoration of pavement adjacent to the new curb and gutter. TCI Inc., the City of Rochelle’s contractor, will be performing the work.

Motorists can expect delays and are advised to use an alternate route and avoid the area if possible. Work is expected to be substantially completed by late August and is subject to weather.

Warning signage, barricades, detour and other temporary traffic control devices will be posted near the affected area. Please use caution while traveling in this area and pay special attention to the advanced warning signage, road closed signage and other temporary traffic control devices within or in advance of the work zone. We appreciate your patience during this project.
