Do you need help applying for health insurance? An experienced Health Insurance Navigator from LawNY can help you explore your options and enroll in coverage through the New York State of Health Marketplace (NYSOH). Appointments are offered in one-hour increments and registration is required. A Health Care Navigator will be at the library on Thursday, June 25 from 1-3PM. Appointments will be in-person at the library. Please call Gates Public Library at 585-247-6446 to make an appointment.

Please have the following on hand during your appointment:
Photo ID
Birth dates and social security numbers of all family members
Proof of income (paystubs from the last four weeks that you’ve worked, or if self-employed, your tax return from the previous year.
Immigration or naturalization papers (if applicable)

Individuals aged 65 or older, and individuals who receive Medicare are generally not eligible for insurance on the Marketplace.

Kim Bixler’s family owned Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1908 Edward E. Boynton House in Rochester, New York, from 1977 to 1994. In her multi-media presentation, Kim recounts the joys and pitfalls of owning and living in a Wright-designed home. Living with the public’s curiosity, playing hide-and-seek, coping with the habitually leaky roof, and managing constant renovations make this an unforgettable story.

There are still spaces left for Hearing Screenings this Tuesday & Wednesday!

Graduate students in speech-language pathology from Nazareth University will be conducting hearing screenings at the library on Tuesday, June 16 AND Wednesday, June 17 from 9-11:15AM. They will be supervised by a faculty member. There is no charge for the screening.

Adults and children ages five and up are welcome!
