First, the thank you message — then, the we-have-leftovers message!
Friends, you amaze me EVERY YEAR. I cannot begin to tell you how many people donated school supplies. I just know that there were several days when three (or more) people dropped off items, and that's not counting the packages that came in the mail. It was awesome and inspiring to see your generosity. Then, when the rain and storms threatened, Ginni Saporito at Hair Impressions opened her shop to us so we would have a dry place to host everyone. A true gift!
Because of you, we were able to welcome 52 children and 25 adults in the first 55 minutes. By the time the event was over, that number had risen to 61 children and 30 adults. Let that sink in!
AND STILL we have supplies left over.
If you were unable to make it to our event, you can share your child's supply list, and I'll see if we can help. You must be able to pick up on Friday or Saturday. I won't be able to make other accommodations or send reminders.
