Did you know: 85% of brain development occurs before children start kindergarten? That’s part of why access to Early Intervention (EI) services is so crucial for families.

EI provides evaluations & services to children under age 3 with developmental delays & disabilities. This can include speech therapy, physical therapy, & more.

Approx. 150,000 NY children ages 0 – 5 years are eligible for EI & Preschool Special Education because of identified developmental delays or disabilities.

But low reimbursement rates helped cause New York to lose 15% of its EI providers between 2019 and 2021.

We need to get EI services back on-track because to receive the care & support they need to succeed. Urge Gov. Hochul to take action here: bit.ly/CCC-EI

The Kentucky Republican said the Senate wouldn't pass a computer chip bill if Democrats pursued budget reconciliation, but it did and they are.

As the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative celebrates Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Pride Month, we renew our vow to fight for equality for all members of our community.

We know that people who identify as le***an, gay, bisexual, or transgender have higher rates of poverty compared to cisgender (cis) heterosexual people, and those rates are even higher for women and people of color. As a community, we must ALL work toward economic and societal equality to ensure that all individuals and families have the same opportunity for upward mobility.
