We are a military based organization for youth ages 10-17 that teaches discipline, responsibility, military bearing and physical training and cadets experiences in water training exercises, medical emergency preparedness, STEM activities and more!

⛑️ Stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive.

Last weekend, our cadets spent a day at the Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility for CPR and first aid instruction provided by retired Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Walker. 👮‍♂️

🚑 Now they are better prepared to act quickly and effectively if faced with a medical emergency.

🙏 A big thank you to our own Inst. Reap for arranging the day and giving the cadets a peek into what it is like to train for a career in law enforcement.

Q: What was your favorite part of the day?
Cadet: Visiting the veterans at the NYS Veterans Home

Several times a year, cadets from Rochester CA-124 Division visit residents at the NYS Veterans Home. Whether we play games, deliver cards, or just have conversation, everyone enjoys the visit. Each visit is meaningful to the veterans, cadets and officers.

When we visit veterans we are remembering the Sea Cadets Core Values: Honor, Respect, Commitment, and Service.

⚓️ Today marked the end of an era with the retirement of LCDR John O’Neil as Commanding Officer of Rochester CA-124 Division. After more than 22 years of dedicated service with Sea Cadets, his retirement is bitter sweet.

But today also marked the beginning of a new season, as Ens. Jessica Sexton assumed command. We look forward to supporting her as she leads the division.

If change of command wasn’t enough, the cadets spent the weekend preparing for annual inspection. They bravely stood for personnel inspection in front of an audience. They have never looked better.

A special thank you to the Navy Reserve Center Rochester for being an always generous host for our division and to Chief Londry for his participation today. Our other distinguished guests included Sea Cadets Regional Director LCDR Caughill, Senior Regional Director LCDR Adams, and LT Caughill representing The Sullivans Division.

🎄 Merry Christmas from Rochester CA-124 Division!
As we spend time with our loved ones this season, we also remember those whose military service keeps them away from home.

It is said that a person dies twice: once when they take their last breath, and again when their name is said for the last time.

Today Rochester CA-124 Division braved the cold and snow to keep 2100 veterans memories alive by speaking their names as the laid wreaths in the Webster, NY area cemeteries.
