Little delayed, but it was great to see the tree lighting last Friday, Mayor Callaghan's reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, the candy cane dance performance, and participate in the Rochester Main Street's Festival of trees. Can't believe we were lucky enough to win one and even better, from a Ward 6 Business, thank you Revolution Taproom & Grill!!

I want to thank everybody in Ward 6 that came out to vote. It was a cold windy day at the polls, but I saw so many familiar faces. I really appreciate the time those took to answer their doors and talk with me when I went door knocking around the Ward on the weekends.

It was an extremely close race and I want to commend Amy Malone for that hard fight. I think there are more things Amy and I agree on then we disagree on and I hope we can have an open communication between us to achieve shared goals that Ward 6 voters want. I look forward to working with Mayor Grassie and the 11 other councilors to spend the next 2 years making Rochester better for all residents with every vote we take representing you.

Thank you!

I really look forward to working with whoever Rochester picks for their new Mayor if I can have your support for re-election. Municipal elections are non-partisan. I have been on the Council for the last 2 years, I've never looked into which party any other councilor registers with nor do i care. We are 12 Rochester residents working to improve Rochester together, no time or space for party division just one affiliation Rochester, that's how local government should be. Vote November 4th!

The Chamber was pleased to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony today in collaboration with Rochester NH Recreation & Arena for the grand opening of Nancy Loud Park, a revitalized community green space on the site of the former Nancy Loud School.

The park commemorates the Nancy Loud School, named after the school's first principal, Nancy Loud, who served from 1980-2008. Loud, who is currently retired and residing in Rochester, attended the ceremony and performed the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured remarks from Caitlyn Turgeon of the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Paul Callaghan, Nancy Loud, and Recreation Director Lauren Krans. The Rochester Public Library also coordinated a StoryWalk® around the park, allowing patrons to enjoy a fun book while exploring the new space.

Community members can learn more about Nancy Loud Park and other recreation facilities in Rochester by visiting rec.rochesternh.gov.
