ASHRAE Engineering Scholarship and ASHRAE Pre-Engineering Scholarship

ASHRAE Engineering Scholarship is awarded to a returning student in the Engineering program with an interest in mechanical/electrical engineering in the HVAC/construction fields. Students must have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students who graduated from high schools within 50 miles of Rochester.

ASHRAE Pre-Engineering Scholarship is awarded to an incoming student enrolled in the Pre-Engineering program and who has earned a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference is given to students participating in engineering chapters or who have completed the engineering pathway at C-TECH.

ASHRAE is a professional association for those that design HVAC systems for the construction industry. Recipients will be encouraged to participate in ASHRAE meetings at no expense to them.

Ann McCauley Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to incoming or returning students who are accepted and enrolled in the RN program. Preference will be given to students who are single custodial parents.

This scholarship is renewable for a second-year if the recipient continues to meet eligibility criteria and is in good academic standing within the Nursing program.

Day 5 of highlighting scholarships available during this fall’s application window!

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is supporting students in skilled trades with two incredible scholarship opportunities for Fall—and we’re excited to share them!

1. Amber Czech Memorial Scholarship
Provided by NAWIC Chapter 346

For students pursuing: Welding
Requirements:
• Minimum 2.0 GPA
• Demonstrated financial need
• Enrolled in 9+ credits/semester
• Minnesota residents preferred
• Preference for female students

2. NAWIC Chapter 346 Women in Trades Scholarship
Seven $1,000 scholarships available!
For students pursuing: Welding, CAD, Carpentry, or FAST
Requirements:
• Minimum 2.0 GPA
• Demonstrated financial need
• Preference for female students

Kathleen and John Glawe Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to incoming or returning students of any academic discipline who are single custodial parents and have financial need. Students may be enrolled full-time or part-time.

This scholarship is renewable for a second year if the recipient continues to meet eligibility criteria and is in good academic standing.

Day 3 of highlighting scholarships available during this fall’s application window!

Leon & Linda Gregg Technical Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to an incoming or returning student enrolled in the Automotive Technician, Facilities and Services Technician, or Carpentry programs. The recipient must have financial need, a minimum of 2.0 GPA, be enrolled for at least 9 credit hours and be a resident of the State of Minnesota.

It is the intention of this scholarship to qualify for the Workforce Development Scholarship matching program.

The Mildred Montag Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to incoming or returning students who are accepted and enrolled in the nursing program (PN, LPN Mobility, RN). Preference will be given to students with high financial need. Students with additional barriers to accessing education are encouraged to apply.

This scholarship is renewable for a second-year if the recipient continues to meet eligibility criteria and is in good academic standing within the Nursing program.

Day 1 of highlighting scholarships available during this fall’s application window!
We are deeply honored to share the Luke Austin Memorial Scholarship.

The Luke S. Austin Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Luke Austin, a tenacious and eclectic artist, who offset the absurdity of life through unyielding creativity. Luke’s creative outlets included, but were not limited to, painting, drawing, acting, writing, and tattooing. He explored most of those mediums while a student at RCTC, where he found encouragement and support from fellow students and faculty to explore his creative limits. Luke’s effortless ability to use endless methods to create art continues to encourage others to explore their own creative endeavors. His attitude towards art, which permeates his artwork, reflected his conclusion about our shared existence: despite the triumphs and the tragedies, life persists— use what limited time and means are available and create something.

We couldn’t be more proud of what our RCTC Douglass Scholars go on to accomplish!

Starting as a PSEO student, Dr. Bethany O’Bryan earned her A.S. at RCTC before transferring to UMR as a Douglass Scholarship recipient, an award supporting students who continue their education and complete their bachelor’s degree after RCTC.

Bethany didn’t stop at her bachelor’s, though. She went on to become a skilled veterinarian and is now giving back to the Rochester community through her work and service.

Congratulations, Dr. O’Bryan! Your journey inspires our students and demonstrates the power of perseverance, education, and community support.

There’s a new pet hospital along Rochester’s Second Street Southwest.

Because of a generous $50 donation, 75 meals are now available for students through the Hive Supply, RCTC’s on‑campus food pantry.

The Hive Supply is an incredibly valuable and widely used resource on campus and is funded primarily through donor generosity. With over 4,000 student visits this past year, the need continues to grow, and the College is continually seeking support to sustain this essential service.
