We can now go further together because five generous donors believed in our mission. This is more than just a vehicle. It is another tool that helps us fulfill our mission of serving individuals and families impacted by incarceration.

With this van, we can now:

✅ Provide transportation for program participants to employment opportunities

✅ Assist residents with medical, counseling, and recovery-related appointments

✅ Transport participants to educational and workforce development programs

✅ Expand access to community events, church services, and support groups

✅ Better serve families and children participating in our Little Legacies and Legacy Risers programs

✅ Increase our capacity to respond to the practical needs of those working to rebuild their lives

At Next Chapter, we believe that transportation should never be a barrier to someone taking the next step toward stability, recovery, employment, or family restoration. This van helps us remove one more obstacle and create more opportunities for success.

As we continue to Refine, Restore, and Reacclimate lives, we are grateful for the donors, partners, volunteers, and supporters who make growth like this possible.

It’s official!

Our first-ever annual golf fundraiser will be on July 11th at Soldiers Field Memorial Golf Course, and we would love to see each of you there and participating.

We’re hitting the green to fund something much bigger than a trophy. Every registration and sponsorship directly fuels the “Next Chapter” for families in Southeast Minnesota—providing the stable housing and faith-rooted mentorship that makes restoration possible.

There are four ways to get involved today:
⛳Assemble Your Team: Start reaching out to your favorite foursome. Whether you’re a pro or a “scramble specialist,” every golfer helps provide a second chance.
⛳Become a Sponsor: Position your business or church as a champion for restoration. We have several tiers available to help you make an impact.
⛳Contribute to the Auction: We are currently seeking high-quality raffle and auction items to help us reach our fundraising goals.
⛳Join Our Volunteer Team: Not a golfer? We’d love your help with check-in, hosting a hole, or keeping the energy high throughout the day.

This isn’t just another day on the course; it’s a day where the Southeast Minnesota community comes together to fuel Insurance Freedom for the men and women at Next Chapter Reentry Project. From providing a safe home to restoring family bonds, your participation on July 11th directly funds the “Next Chapter” for our residents.

Registration and sponsorship details are found here: https://www.nextchapterreentryproject.org/ncrp-golf-fundraiser-registration

It’s National Volunteer Week, and at Next Chapter, we’re celebrating the heartbeat of our mission: our volunteers.

Volunteering here isn’t about checking off a to-do list; it’s about the power of being there. Restoration doesn’t happen through a program—it grows through steady, faithful relationships. Whether you’re sharing a meal or a prayer, your consistency is what makes the difference.

Here are a few ways to get involved:
■ Walk alongside someone weekly as they navigate their new chapter.
■ Provide a meal for our community or help with practical needs around our homes.
■ Join a group session, help at an event, or commit to being a dedicated prayer partner.

You don’t need a specialized degree or a perfect background to make an impact. You just need a willing heart and a little bit of time.

We are continuing our celebration of April as Second Chance Month, a time to recognize the power of redemption, restoration,
and new beginnings. Today, we introduce Michelle, a resident in our women’s program, whose transformation and powerful testimony are a testament to what God is doing at Next Chapter Reentry Project. At NCRP, second chances are not just an idea; they are the very foundation of our mission. Michelle’s story is living proof of why this work matters.

When Michelle entered NCRP’s Women’s Program, she carried more than a history marked by mental health challenges, addiction, and incarceration. She carried resilience. Originally from the South, she made her way to Rochester, shaped by difficult transitions but also by a persistent belief that her life could be different. Despite setbacks, she never stopped moving forward.

Something shifted when she arrived at NCRP.

For the first time, Michelle found not just housing, but stability. Not just programming, but purpose. She came to us tired, but ready. Ready to lean into her faith. Ready to embrace structure and support. Ready to pursue the life she had always envisioned.

Today, Michelle is just two tests away from earning her GED. She has already identified the
school where she plans to pursue her dream of becoming a paralegal. What once felt out of reach is now within grasp, not because her past disappeared, but because she chose to face it and move forward with courage.

This is what transformation looks like.

It happens when someone is given not just a second chance, but the right environment to
succeed: safe and stable housing, mentorship, accountability, and a community that believes in
them even when they struggle to believe in themselves.

Michelle’s story is powerful, but it is not unique. There are many more like her waiting for the
same opportunity.

Because of supporters like you, NCRP can continue to provide the structure, support, and hope that make stories like Michelle’s possible. Your investment does more than fund a program. It restores lives, rebuilds families, and creates pathways to purpose.

April is Second Chance Month, a time to recognize that successful reentry is about much more than just a release date. While "Day One" is a milestone, true restoration is found in the weeks and months that follow.

It requires a safe place to land, the practical tools to navigate work and family, and a community of faith that doesn’t disappear when things get difficult.

At Next Chapter Reentry Project, we believe a second chance isn’t an automatic event—it’s a journey built through a steady, gospel-centered presence. By providing stable housing and consistent mentorship, we ensure that the men and women we serve never have to walk the path of rebuilding alone.

Help us change the conversation. Please share this post to help reduce stigma and raise awareness for our neighbors coming home.

At Next Chapter Reentry Project, we know that true reentry success goes far beyond the individual—it reaches into the heart of the home. By placing family at the center of our mission, we aren’t just helping people start over; we are helping them build something that lasts.

Your support fuels a multi-generational impact:

■ Mentorship and programming for parents that provide the stability needed to lead well.
■ Through our Little Legacies initiative, we offer children the encouragement and care every child deserves.
■ Turning cycles of incarceration into stories of restoration and hope within our communities.

When you partner with us, you are choosing to believe in the power of new beginnings and the strength of a restored family unit.

Will you help us write the next chapter? From providing meals and mentorship to prayer and financial giving, there is a place for you in this mission: https://www.nextchapterrochester.org/

We have been on a remarkable run here at Next Chapter Reentry Project. As many of you know, like any organization, we experience seasons—times of challenge and times of momentum. And right now, we are in a season when the favor of God is moving in a powerful, undeniable way.

We do not take that lightly. We do not take that for granted. And we would not dare move forward without pausing to give God the praise for all that God has done.

In recent weeks, we have celebrated the renovation and expansion of our men’s homes—milestones that represent growth, opportunity, and renewed hope. And now, we have the privilege of celebrating something even more meaningful: a transformed life.

Today, we celebrate Cindy, who has officially completed our year-long program.

Cindy has walked this journey with humility, consistency, and strength. She has embraced every expectation, leaned into the process, and demonstrated what it looks like to truly commit to change. What stands out most is not just what she has accomplished, but who she has become—selfless, compassionate, and deeply committed to the well-being of others.

Cindy is now an alumna of NCRP.

Her story is a testament to what is possible when faith meets action.

Join us in celebrating Cindy and this incredible milestone.
