Rochester Host Lions Club

Rochester Host Lions Club We are a SERVICE CLUB and our membership is comprised of men and women whose first aim is to serve our community. We meet at the Eagles Club.

The best fun and fellowship in Lions has always involved two key elements:
1. Service to community
2. Working together with our fellow members
Lions Clubs International was started in 1917 by Melvin Jones, a 38-year old businessman who as secretary of a businessmen's luncheon group asked: "What if these men, who are successful because of their drive, intelligence and ambition, were to put their ta

lents to work improving their communities?" At the 1925 Lions Convention, Lions Clubs International accepted Helen Keller's challenge to become "Knights of the Blind." Today there are approximately 46,300 clubs in 207 countries and geographic area around the world with approximately 1.4 million members.

From bell ringing during the Christmas season, to sponsoring a foursome in our Golf for Good tournament in July, the Rochester Host Lions Club has been a long standing and invaluable supporter of the Rochester, MN Salvation Army.
