Chili Recreation Chili Recreation Department provides the surrounding community with a number of recreation and leisure programs

The Town of Chili, located in Monroe County, is a suburb of Rochester, New York. Chili is a community that is contrasted by a suburban character primarily in the geographic area north of Black Creek and a rural agricultural character south of Black Creek. Chili has a variety of recreational areas including eight town parks, one county park, two museums, a disc golf course, a public nature area, t

wo semi-private golf courses, and two boat launches - one on the Genesee River and one on Black Creek. Each year the town's annual summer festival, the 'Chili-E Fest' draws thousands of people to entertainment, food vendors, and a fabulous firework display.

ChiliCares is proud to host a Community Shoe Drive supporting Soles4Souls throughout the month of June 2026.

We are collecting new and gently worn shoes to help give them new purpose. Donations support Soles4Souls’ 4Opportunity program, which helps create sustainable economic opportunities for families facing hardship by turning donated shoes into resources for small businesses around the world.

Soles4Souls also helps bring brand-new shoes directly back into communities through the 4EveryKid program. Locally, that impact was recently felt when 100 brand-new pairs of shoes were donated to Discovery School in Rochester, NY.

Please donate shoes that are clean, wearable, and paired together.

June: Soles4Souls Shoe Drive
Collecting new and gently worn shoes to support Soles4Souls, a nonprofit that creates opportunity through shoes and clothing.

July: Veterans Outreach Center Summer Essentials Drive
Collecting summer essentials for local veterans, including undershirts, underwear, gym shorts, flip flops/water shoes, sunscreen, and aloe.

August: Level The Playing Field Sporting Goods Drive
Collecting gently used sporting equipment to help kids in under-resourced communities access youth sports.

Our Gratitude Wall is officially growing, and so are the stories that make the Chili Community Center so special.

Over the past few days, members of all ages have been sharing heartfelt notes, memories, and messages about what the CCC means to them as we celebrate 5 years of Create • Connect • Community. From fitness friendships and family programs to meaningful moments in the Senior Center and Library, every paper icon added to the wall represents a piece of our community story.
