We've received several questions recently about the Village of Rochester's curfew ordinance, so we wanted to provide a quick reminder for residents.

🚨 Curfew for anyone under the age of 18 is in effect from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day.

This curfew is in effect every day of the year, including weekends, holidays, summer break, and school vacations.

The ordinance is intended to help keep our community safe while providing exceptions for situations such as employment, supervised activities, emergencies, and other circumstances outlined in the ordinance.

🚧 ROAD PROJECT UPDATE – JUNE 4, 2026 🚧

Here's the latest progress on the Oak Knoll and Ridge Lane road improvement projects:

🛣️ Oak Knoll
✅ Asphalt paving is complete
✅ Shouldering is expected to be finished by Monday
✅ Line striping is scheduled for the middle of next week
🌱 Restoration and seeding will begin on June 10

🛣️ Ridge Lane
✅ Chip sealing is complete
🧹 Sweeping will be completed by the end of the week
📅 Fog sealing is planned for the coming weeks and will be completed one lane at a time
⚠️ Please note: Wet fog seal cannot be driven on, but it dries quickly
📢 Additional updates will be provided once the fog sealing date is finalized

🚧 Construction Update 🚧

Here is the latest update on the Oak Knoll and Ridge Lane road improvement projects:

🌳 Oak Knoll
• Paving of the drive lanes is expected to be completed by the end of today.
• No construction work is currently scheduled for Saturday.
• Driveway paving is planned for Monday and Tuesday.
• Shouldering work is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.

🛣️ Ridge Lane
• Chip sealing is currently planned for Wednesday, weather permitting.
• Following chip sealing, cleanup work will be completed.
• A fog seal coat will be applied at a future date.

We appreciate residents' patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed. Please continue to use caution when traveling through construction areas and follow all posted signage.
