⚠️ Important Reminder for Voters ⚠️
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is warning voters to be cautious of third-party election mailers regarding voter registration and absentee ballot requests. These mailers may come from political parties, advocacy groups, or other private organizations and are not sent by the State of Wisconsin or your local clerk's office.
Some mailers may contain incorrect or misleading information, including claims that you are not registered to vote when you actually are. Others may include pre-filled absentee ballot request forms that do not explain all of Wisconsin's requirements, such as providing a valid photo ID.
The Village of Rochester Clerk's Office has now received several of these third-party absentee ballot request forms. These forms are NOT valid on their own, and we are not able to issue an absentee ballot unless all state requirements have been met, including photo ID requirements when applicable.
