Elder Network Elder Network is a non-profit organization serving those 55 and older and their caregivers in Olmsted, Winona and Wabasha counties since 1988.

Elder Network has been successful in assisting seniors to improve and enhance their quality of life; returning the feeling of meaningfulness and contentment. Elder Network is a great asset to our community, and is proud and honored to serve seniors – helping them live with dignity. Elder Network is a non-profit organization that has helped older adults remain in their home of since 1988.

National Heritage Month - What is the significance of May 10th in AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) history? Answer: May 10th is the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad, which was built by Chinese laborers. The railroad was completed in 1869 and helped to open up the West to settlement and development.

Today is National Senior Health and Fitness Day. If you are looking for a flexible walking opportunity, where you can run, walk, electric scooter, roller blade, bicycle, walk your dog, wheel chair, etc. you can save the date for June 29th, Monday, when we hold our Terra Loco $5 5k Run/Walk/Roll event. All proceeds go to Elder Network. This is a cash event, and registration is on the day of, at Terra Loco in Rochester, MN. The event runs from 5:30pm-7pm, and we have a rolling start, from 5:30-6:15pm-allowing you to register at the time that you need to, in order to complete the full 5k or the portion that you are able to. The Elder Network Gala tickets opened on May 15th, and remain open through September 1st, 2026, with early bird pricing ending on June 15th for individual tickets! This important fundraising event is our largest fundraiser of the year-and a key reason that we are able to provide affordable and donation-based programs and services to older adults and caregivers in Southeastern Minnesota. We have a support group that meets monthly-both online and in person-to serve as a safe place for people who are facing chronic conditions (i.e. arthritis, depression, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, etc.). You will have time to review self-care with our facilitator, and also to speak and hear from others living with and managing chronic conditions.
