✨ Welcome Back, EICSD Staff! ✨

Today, we officially kicked off the 2026-27 school year with an inspiring Opening Day program celebrating the people who make East Irondequoit such a special place to learn and grow.

The morning began with a memorable student-teacher trombone performance, followed by remarks from Eastridge Class of 2027 President and Student Board of Education Representative, who reminded us of the impact our work has on students every day.

We also proudly recognized dedicated staff members celebrating milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service. A special congratulations goes to Pat Martin, whose incredible 60 years of service to our district is a testament to a lifetime of commitment to East Irondequoit students and families.

The program concluded with the presentation of our Outstanding Lancer Awards:

🏆 Melissa Paquin – Outstanding Lancer Secondary Educator
🏆 Kristen Munger – Outstanding Lancer Staff Member

Congratulations to all of our honorees and thank you to every member of our EICSD team for your dedication, passion, and commitment to our students.

Our On Our Way to K event was a huge success! 🎉🍦🎒

We loved welcoming our incoming kindergarten students and their families for an evening filled with fun, excitement, and preparation for the school year ahead. Our future Lancers enjoyed ice cream, received fresh haircuts, picked out new backpacks, and had a blast bouncing around in the bounce house.
