At the beginning of this campaign, I made a pledge to hold a free, public, in-person town hall meeting in each of the 21 counties in our district, never prescreening any audience members or their questions. Today, I fulfilled that promise, holding #21 in West Concord, Dodge County.

I've learned a lot from opening my ears to the people of southern Minnesota, hearing concerns about data centers, health insurance costs, rural hospital closures and service restrictions, fraud, cost of living, tariffs, property taxes, and dozens of other issues folks need answers from their representative about.

It would be hard to represent folks if I didn't listen to them. So, Congressman Finstad, if you're ever wondering what people around here are thinking, feel free to ask me. Or, you know, maybe hold a town hall.

The national debt just crossed $40 trillion, and we, the taxpayers, are now paying a trillion dollars every year just to pay off the INTEREST on that debt. That’s money that can’t be spent on education, healthcare, or tax cuts for working families.

I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race who didn't vote for the largest debt ceiling increase in our nation’s history.
