The Action Front Center Action Front Center is committed to helping people living with HIV have a voice and addressing the elimination of health disparities.

Action for a Better Community's Action Front Center provides evidence-based HIV, STD and Hepatitis C prevention, HIV counseling and testing, access to care, and supportive services for people living with HIV and those at risk. All services are free, confidential, and available in English and Spanish.

🎙️🎙️Seniors...just because your over than 50, it doesn't mean you're immune to getting a STI or HIV. There is no cut off age limit for getting a s*xually transmitted infection. The only thing needed is a live host for the infection. This is why condom use is recommended for any s*xual activity where there is a risk of becoming a statistic. Action Front Center located at 33 Chestnut Street 2nd floor has free s*xual health item including condom and l**e daily Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5 pm. If you need help with addiction call 585-262-4330 ext. 3200 and ask the receptionist to get an evaluation for substance use. Not having to worry about getting pregnant doesn't mean you don't have anything to worry about. STI's or HIV don't have an age limit. Wearing a condom when having s*x and getting tested is the best way to know your status. Having a STI increases you chances of becoming HIV+. Getting tested for STI'S and HIV is the best way to know your status. 🎙️🎙️Treatment as Prevention (TaP) is an effective way to reduce the transmission of the HIV virus. TaP is actually a win-win with helping the End the Epidemic (EtE) efforts. If the person who is HIV+ becomes undetectable(no virus is found in a sample of blood), and remains that way for 6 months(win) it has been medically proven that the HIV+ person can not pass the virus to their s*xual partner(win). 🎙️🎙️The weather is starting to change. People are starting to get in the summertime mode. Backyard bbq's, bonfires with s'mores, and spending time at the beach. People should also make sure their s*xual heath is also in shape. Time to get your HIV and STI screenings to also get in shape for summer. Most tests take less than a 1/2 an hour to take. The HIV test used by AFC takes about one minute to get your results. It will take more time for test counseling than will take to get your results for the test. KNOW YOUR STATUS. Action for a Better Community and Action Front Center will be hosting a community forum looking for input from the community about issues and concerns affecting the community.
