Action for a Better Community's Action Front Center provides evidence-based HIV, STD and Hepatitis C prevention, HIV counseling and testing, access to care, and supportive services for people living with HIV and those at risk. All services are free, confidential, and available in English and Spanish.

🎙️🎙️An excellent way for preventing yourself from getting HIV is to take PrEP. PrEP is a pill or injection that you take that is over 99% effective in preventing HIV transmission. PrEP doesn't protect you from other STI's, so condom use is still recommended. PrEP comes in a pill form that you have to take daily, or an injection every 2 months, and now there is a 6 month option. That is a shot twice a year and you are protected against HIV. Action Front Center located at 33 Chestnut Street 2nd floor can assist you if you would like to begin PrEP. You can also call 585-262-4330 ext. 3100 and as the receptionist to speak with a health educator about beginning PrEP. You can also get free s*xual health items including condom and l**e by asking the receptionist at the front desk.

It is a pill or injection when taken as directed, PrEP can be about 99% effective in preventing HIV through s*x. 🎙️🎙️Seniors...just because your over than 50, it doesn't mean you're immune to getting a STI or HIV. There is no cut off age limit for getting a s*xually transmitted infection. The only thing needed is a live host for the infection. This is why condom use is recommended for any s*xual activity where there is a risk of becoming a statistic. Action Front Center located at 33 Chestnut Street 2nd floor has free s*xual health item including condom and l**e daily Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5 pm. If you need help with addiction call 585-262-4330 ext. 3200 and ask the receptionist to get an evaluation for substance use.
