We own and use a State-of-the-Art Cleaning System to clean your PPE as prescribed by NFPA 1851. Ensemble Cleaning per NFPA 1851 means:
•No agitation while washing garments
•Water temperature control (not to exceed 105 degrees)
•Constant control of detergent pH (range 6.0 –10.5)
•Spin cycle of less than 100 g-force

The Esporta Wash System is a unique laundering technology that safely and effectively cleans PPE without:
•Causing deterioration of the fabric
•Reducing reflectivity of the garment’s trim
•Reducing the garment’s ability to reflect heat
•Damaging hard or soft goods

Our wash system will result in the following:
•Optimum cleaning for maximum performance
•Minimal color and strength loss over time
•Uncompromised thermal protection
•Extended life

Custom Designed, Humidity Controlled Drying Room

We’ve designed a closed drying room environment that moves warm dry air through your garments – we do not heat or tumble dry your PPE which can break down the fabric and the protective properties that you paid big money for. NFPA recommends an advanced inspection for all fire fighting protective clothing be conducted annually. During this rigorous process, our 3rd-party-verified and manufacturer-certified inspectors will disassemble your PPE and put it through the NFPA recommended tests and then reassemble it. If the item passes all aspects of the advanced inspection, it is properly reassembled, packaged, and returned to you ready for service! If the item should fail any portion of the inspection, Turnout Express will prepare an estimate for repairs or recommend the item be removed from service. Ensemble Inspection per NFPA 1851 means:

Turnout gear is comprised of 2 layers – a thermal liner and moisture barrier. In order to meet NFPA 1851 compliance standards, these layers must be separated during inspection so that:
•The thermal liner can be illuminated and visually inspected for wear and material drift.
•The moisture barrier can be hydrostatically tested in multiple areas with specialized equipment. PPE Repair

Firefighters are rough on everything; it’s the nature of their work. The protective clothing they wear is no exception. Turnout Express provides repair services for rips, tears, and excessive wear. Hook-and-loop and reflective trim just doesn’t hold up to the rigors of firefighting, and we can replace those items too. If moisture barriers and thermal liners need attention, we are fully equipped with the latest seam sealing and edge binding technologies to repair, alter or replace the internal components of your turnout gear.

This gear was brought in recently with concentrated thermal damage to a small area in the leg. Our team inspected and repaired the damaged area with patches to the outer shell and moisture barrier, before finishing with new trim.

ATTENTION!
It has alway been a policy with Turnout Express that when Dept send in PPE for cleaning ALL contents of ALL pockets are empty. TOX will not be responsible for the loss of anything left in the gear. Dangerous items ( to our wash machines) have been found on a regular basis, such as screwdrivers, pliers, knives, screws and nails etc.

We ask for your help keeping TOX efficient and safe…..empty your pockets.
