This Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to support one another and strengthen the communities we serve. At Common Ground Health, we remain committed to advancing health equity—working across systems and communities to ensure everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

We remember. We honor. We continue the work.

Team members showed in force today for the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes to help beautify the amazing grounds of the Sri Vidya Temple Society in Rush, NY.

After weeding, mulching, and other projects, we enjoyed learning about the temple's history and activities, then enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch.

There's nothing quite as fulfilling as knowing you're having a positive .

One phone call can make a difference. 💛

WXXI News is spotlighting “One Call. One Connection. Pass It On.” — a regional effort reminding all of us that checking in with an older adult can help combat loneliness and strengthen well-being.

"We're not able to do what we used to do. We're not able to engage with people we used to engage with, or not able to go where we used to go,” said Phyllis Jackson, director of our Senior Adult Community Engagement Project. “You’re giving them a sense of worth, of value.”

Who can you call today? A parent, grandparent, neighbor, or family friend?
And if you’re an older adult reading this—consider “passing it on” by calling someone else.

A regional health campaign is encouraging residents to pick up the phone and call an older adult. Experts said that this type of interaction is a small way to help combat mental health problems in seniors.
