It's the first day of June and that means it's the first day of Summer Session at MCC! MCC Libraries are here to help you succeed through the summer sun, and our hours are:

LeRoy V. Good Library at the Brighton Campus (through July 26):
Monday through Thursday from 7:45am to 6pm.
Friday from 7:45am to 1pm.
Closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Downtown Campus Learning Commons:
Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm (through June 21).
Friday through Sunday: Closed.
Monday, June 22 to Sunday, August 9: Closed.

MCC Libraries will be closed on the following dates:
Friday, June 19, for the Juneteenth Holiday.
Friday, July 3, for Independence Day.
Thursday, July 16, for Professional Development Day.

We're so proud of Rokhan! We'll miss him at Monroe Community College and MCC Libraries, and we wish him all the best at Rochester Institute of Technology. We know he'll continue to inspire us and do great work!

MCC Libraries are closed today in observance of Memorial Day.

"Memorial Day, which is observed on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while in the military service. In observance of the holiday, many people visit cemeteries and memorials, and volunteers often place American flags on each grave site at national cemeteries. A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3pm local time" (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs).

This is the last weekend MCC Libraries will be open until the fall semester, so be sure to stop in between 11am and 4pm today or tomorrow if you'd like some extra help finishing your semester! (Of course, we'll still be open during the week!)

All laptop loans are due to MCC Libraries by Monday, May 18, 2026. If you need a loan for the summer semester, updated laptops will be available on a first come, first served basis starting on Wednesday, May 27.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! After one more week of classes, our students go onward and beyond! As you move toward your "done" and feel like you need a little help along the way, check out books to inspire you, to motivate you, and maybe just center you. We're so proud of our students and their research skills to prepare for the conference, and their hard work to earn this recognition! Way to go! 🙌

Congratulations to MCC’s Model United Nations students for earning a Distinguished Delegation award at the 99th annual National Model United Nations Conference in New York City! The conference is the oldest and most widely attended university‑level U.N. simulation in the United States.

MCC students collaborated with more than 1,500 participants representing over 100 colleges and universities, serving as Hungary's delegation across seven simulated U.N. committees. Throughout the week, they delivered more than 20 speeches and contributed to over 600 pages of written work, including working papers and adopted resolutions addressing pressing global issues

Earlier this week, MCC hosted a reception on the Brighton Campus to recognize the 15 participating students, celebrate their achievements, highlight the strength of the Model U.N. program, and give friends and family an inside look at the rigor and impact of the National Model United Nations experience.
