Caston JR SR High School Principal, Gina Hierlmeier, was nominated by Caston Teacher, Melinda Shultz to be an Indianapolis Colts Community Impact Honoree. This past weekend, Mrs. Hierlmeier and her family were invited to a preseason game and time on the field. She was also able to meet one of her favorite players, Alec Pierce.

The Caston Library serves many purposes before school, through the school day and after school. Last night, the high school was able to host over 30 families at the Ivy Tech Dual Credit information night in the library. This morning, (pictured), the Caston JR SR High School staff used the newly renovated space for a staff meeting.

Through the IDOE Digital Learning Grant, Caston JR SR High School purchased new equipment for their Jouranlism Class. This equipment will give students experience with video taping equipment used in post secondary training and jobs in the field. The students are very excited to get busy creating videos for Caston School Corporation!

Congratulations to Carl Davis, Caston School Corporation Staff Spotlight for August. Mr. Davis teaches social studies at Caston JR SR High School and is the Caston High School Varsity Basketball Coach. His nominator, Mike Buczkowski said this about Mr. Davis, "Carl is always making himself available to help others. He is willing to listen and always has a positive attitude. You can bounce ideas off of him, and he never makes you feel dumb for asking a question. He is an excellent role model for the students as well as other teachers."
