CASA of Rochester/ Monroe County Follow our NEW page - www.facebook.com/casarochestermonroe! Family Court judges assign CASA volunteers to advocate for neglected and abused children.

The children range in age from infancy to twenty-one. Volunteers act as fact finders, educators, reporters in court, monitors, facilitators and helpers. Advocacy is provided around the issues of permanency, safety, education, mental and physical health, and visitation. Volunteers are seen and heard at court, at school, at the placement of the child, and at all meetings pertaining to the child. Court attendance varies from several times a month to once every six months, depending on each case.
