We are proud to announce that Lillian Limberg, a senior at Rochester High School, has successfully completed 200 hours of service with the Rochester Police Department. During her time with us, Lillian learned about our daily operations and had the opportunity to work alongside each division within the department.

We would like to thank Rochester Community Schools for developing the Police Cadet Program and for partnering with our agency to provide students with valuable real-world experience.

Lillian will soon be graduating and plans to attend the University of Alabama. It was truly a pleasure having her here with us, as we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Police Chief's Message

National Police Week

As Chief of Police for this wonderful city, I am reminded this week of the tremendous responsibility and honor that comes with serving our community alongside the dedicated men and women of the Rochester Police Department.

We pause to honor the officers across this nation who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and we remember the families who continue to carry that loss every day.

Police week is also an opportunity to recognize the commitment of our officers, dispatcher, civilian staff and their families who serve this community with professionalism, integrity, and compassion each day.

I would also like to personally thank Sgt. Mark Lyon and Officer Joseph Dusovic for traveling to Washington, D.C. to represent our department during National Police Week and assist and support the families of fallen officers. Your compassion, professionalism, and dedication reflect who you are and our police department.

I am proud of the work our department does to build trust, strengthen relationships, and keep Rochester one of the safest cities in Michigan. We thank all our residents and business community for always having our backs.

And to every law enforcement officer serving today: stay safe, stay strong, and always treat others like you want to be treated. Always keep your guard up becuase your life could change within seconds.

Take Care

Chief George T. Rouhib Jr. AKA Chief George
