Check out our interactive kiosk on the 2nd floor! Community Connections: African Americans in Rochester is a collaborative community history project between the Rochester Public Library and Barbershop & Social Services. The initiative creates a permanent interactive kiosk that honors and highlights the lives, legacies, and contributions of both well-known and lesser-known Black community members. Through multimedia storytelling featuring historical images, newspaper clippings, and personal snapshots, the kiosk serves as a living archive and educational resource for residents and visitors alike.
