Vertus High School Vertus High School is an innovative charter school for young men in Rochester, NY. Students learn in teams of 16 to 20.

We provide unprecedented individual support and consistent high expectations for academic success and character growth. Founded by veteran educators Leigh McGuigan and Perry White, Vertus aims to reinvent high school for the young men who need it most. Upon graduating, each of our young men will choose the path that is right for him: university, community college or a good job. Each team has a fu

Earlier this week, we had the honor of celebrating our seniors and recognizing their hard work, growth, leadership, and commitment throughout their time at Vertus.

The energy in the room was powerful as families, staff, and students came together to honor the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished. These young men have shown resilience, determination, and Warrior pride, and we could not be more proud of them.

Congratulations to all of our award winners and to the entire senior class. Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning.
