A few weeks ago we spent the day at the beach for Monroe County's (22nd Annual) Salute to Seniors! It was a great day to spend with friends in the fresh air down by the water - good food, good music, GREAT TIMES!

A few weeks ago we held our Health Fair/Family Fun Day! It was great getting to know neighbors, other agencies that support the community, and reconnecting with old friends! So happy the weather cooperated!

Last week we were honored by the SBC of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce with the Community Partnership Award at the Business Person of the Year Awards ceremony.

Focus on: Supported Employment

Our mission, to provide employment support, through OPWDD for workers with Developmental Disabilities. With intentions of finding careers within their own Community. Our aim is to create jobs and career opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We hope to gain and develop partnerships with businesses and provide a professional and valued workforce to any team.

Last week our Summer Camp had a visit from Firefighter Alonzo Mora of The Protectives! The Protectives is the Rochester Fire Department 's proud volunteer company. For generations, they have answered the call to serve while also helping strengthen the bond between the fire service and the neighborhoods they protect.

Looking at these smiling faces, we can't help but wonder which of these young children might one day wear an RFD badge and walk through the doors of the Fire Academy.

Thank you, Firefighter Mora, for going above and beyond for our community. You represented the Rochester Fire Department, the Protectives, and the fire service with professionalism, compassion, and pride.
