Good morning! Here’s the severe weather outlook for Monday (6/1).

While you were sleeping, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) upgraded our risk of severe weather for today.

🟢🟡Most of the area is in a level (1/5), with a portion in the level (2/5).

TIMING: Storms will develop in the area of Newcastle and Lusk WY around 1pm and move east/northeast. Most storms are done and out of here by 7pm, but a few may linger. Unlike this past weekend, not everyone will see a storm today. Some will miss out.

THREATS: Not every storm will be severe. Hail is the biggest threat with any severe storm today. Quarter-size for most storms, but a strong storm today may have hail up to golf-ball size. Wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible too.

PREPARE: Bring in any plants to protect them from hail, if possible. Lawn furniture, trampolines should be fastened down. Most importantly, have a way to receive warnings! The NC1 weather app is a great way to get alerts.
