PRESS RELEASE

On August 18, 2026, at approximately 10:45 AM, Rock Hill officers responded to a bomb threat at 9586 Manchester Road. Due to the high volume of traffic in the area and the seriousness of the call, we made the decision to evacuate the plaza as a precaution. St. Louis County Police K-9 units were dispatched to the scene. After conducting a thorough search of the plaza, it was confirmed that no active threat was present.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the first responders for their rapid and professional response, as well as to our businesses for their cooperation during the evacuation.

On Saturday, July 25, the Rock Hill Police Department was officially reaccredited by CALEA, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, following an oral board interview that took place in Omaha, Nebraska.

CALEA accreditation is a rigorous four-year process completed in stages, providing independent, third-party oversight of our department’s policies, procedures and practices.
