The Political Association Council is the unifying advisory council for the political organizations recognized by the Winthrop University Office of Student Organizations and the Political Science department. The goals of the council are to foster greater communication, advise organizations on their events and procedures, give a strong, unified, nonpartisan statement from the political organizations, and improve the Winthrop and Rock Hill communities.

Around 400 Winthrop University students on Monday helped honor the memory of civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. by serving people in need in Rock Hill. The students helped pack sandwiches, make scarves, create hygiene packs and more for the homeless.
