Christian Care A homeless shelter rescue mission for men and a domestic violence shelter for women and their children located in Rock Island, Illinois.

We were founded in 1916 to serve the least, the last, and the lost. We have continued to serve our community for 100 years and currently operate two facilities—a domestic violence shelter for abused women and children and a rescue mission for homeless men. We also operate a community meal site that served well over 50,000 meals last year and a 24/7 Crisis Line that primarily fields calls from thos

e who are homeless, those in danger of being beaten or killed, and those contemplating suicide. We provide safe shelter, food, clothing, and personal care items to each of our residents—and so much more. Christian Care's services are available in the Quad Cities to a growing number of homeless men and abused women and children 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through our two facilities—a domestic violence shelter for abused women and children and a rescue mission for homeless men—we provide to safe shelter, food, clothing, counseling, referrals and guidance to anyone in need. We serve homeless individuals, victims of domestic violence, veterans, men and women coming out of prison, and the mentally ill.
