Last week we were honored to have our Rotary District 6420 Governor for 2026-2027, Tina Curtis, join our meeting and present!
Charged by Rotary International with the responsibility of visiting every Club in her district, she reviewed our club member directory, club goals, strategic plan, and our many projects and activities.
Tina then reported her thoughts to our Rock Island Rotary club and presented her goals for District 6420 and the goals of Rotary International President Olayinka (Yinka) H. Babalola of Nigeria, for the 2026-27 Rotary year. The message she brings from our international President, is that we don’t have to do more, we just have to do better!
The District Govenor began her comments telling us that her first contact with Rotary was through a political candidate she supported. He didn’t win election and commented to Tina, “What we can’t do through Policy, maybe we can do through Rotary”. The two of them founded the Carptentersville Morning Rotary Club. From there Tina learned, became deeply involved and now after over three and a half years of preparation serves as our district Governor. She is now a member of the Walnut, Illinois Rotary Club which serves a vast rural multi-county area in north central Illinois.
Tina Curtis is the owner of Curtis E Organizing (CEO). She is a professional organizer and is considered an expert in organization! She has worked across multiple industries, including, Medical & Consumer Services, Skillied in Nonprofit Organizations, Sales Management, Volunteer Management, and Public Speaking.
