The Breast and Cervical Cancer Program provides free or low cost breast and cervical cancer screening for women without insurance between the ages of 35-64 years old. The goals of the program are to increase early detection of breast and cervical cancer through regular mammogram and Pap test screening. The Cancer Treatment Act serves ineligible for IBCCP. Walk in Tuesday flu vaccine clinics is today!
Walk in flu days are Tuesdays ONLY and will go through October 29th, which will be the last walk in flu vaccine Tuesday.
Walk in flu vaccine times will be from 900am to 1200pm and 1pm-4pm at the RICHD, 2112 25th Ave., Rock Island, Illinois.
No appointments are necessary for those age 12 and older on these Tuesdays.
Children ages 6 months to 11 years old require appointments because of the extra care those appointments require. Call RICHD at 309-794-7080 to schedule!

Any other day aside from Tuesdays that a flu vaccine is desired will require an appointment. Call RICHD at 309-794-7080 to schedule.
We have programs in place for uninsured and underinsured clients of all ages, so that any one desiring a flu vaccine may obtain one.

Measles is still spreading across the country, and it could have you thinking: do I need to get vaccinated again if it's been a really long time?

Most likely not. Here's what you need to know⬇️

We do not recommend re-vaccination for those who have "appropriate evidence of immunity." Well, what is appropriate evidence of immunity?

You're likely protected if you:
✔️ Have a written record of MMR vaccination
✔️ Have lab evidence of immunity
✔️ Had lab-confirmed measles in the past
✔️ Were born before 1957

If you don't have any of these — you should get vaccinated now.

All adults should be considered up to date on MMR vaccinations with either 1 or 2 doses (depending on risk factors). If you only received 1 dose, you need a second dose if:
➡️ You're traveling internationally.
➡️ You work in a health care setting or child care facility.
➡️ You're attending college or a post-high school educational institution.
➡️ You live with or are in close contact with people who are immunocompromised.

If you fall into one of these higher risk groups, check your vaccination status and speak with your healthcare provider.
