Frank G. & Caroline Young House Frank G. and Caroline Young House Built in 1907, the Young House was originally home to Frank G. and Caroline Young.

Frank co-owned Young and McCombs Department Store in downtown Rock Island, Illinois. Architect Leonard Drack, who lived next door, designed this home, and the builder was John Volk. The Young House displays the transition from Queen Anne to Colonial Revival architectural styles, pairing the ornate details and steeply pitched roof typical of Queen Anne structures with the classical design of Coloni

al Revival buildings. The home became a Rock Island City landmark in 1994 and is located in the Broadway Historic District (National Register of Historic Places 1998) just blocks from the Mississippi River. The current homeowners embarked on the home's complete restoration and renovation in 2003.
