ACDC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!

For graduating HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS…
ACDC has a scholarship program designed to help graduating Atchison County high school seniors fund post-secondary education and training programs. Because both career/technical training (welding certification, CNA training, lineman school, etc.) and traditional undergraduate education are critical to the future of our workforce, ACDC’s scholarship program offers a $1,000 award in each of the following categories, for a total of two scholarships per school district area:
• Tech school training program/community college degree
• 4-year undergraduate degree program
2027 applications are available now and can be obtained by visiting the high school counselor’s office or the ACDC website. Applications and transcripts are due to ACDC by Friday, March 26, 2027.

For TARKIO TECH attendees (who live or plan to live in AC)…
In addition to supporting graduating high school seniors, ACDC also recognizes that local individuals may want to establish or further their careers by pursuing additional training locally through Tarkio Tech. ACDC offers $500 Tarkio Tech scholarships per calendar year to anyone who is pursuing a diploma or certificate program and intends to live in Atchison County. Applications are accepted anytime and are considered/awarded in the order they are received.

And now, one for ADULT LEARNERS!
ACDC’s new Adult Education Scholarship is designed to help Atchison County employers grow and strengthen the skills of their employees, and to help Atchison County residents enhance and develop their professional skills. Applicants must have earned a high school diploma or GED, be a non-traditional student (adult learners, parents, veterans, students returning after a break, career changes, etc.), and have primary residence of Atchison County and/or be an employee of an Atchison County business. This scholarship (maximum of $2,500) can be used for tuition and program fees associated with any career training or education. ACDC offers five $2,500 Adult Education Scholarship per year. Applications are accepted anytime and are considered/awarded in the order they are received.
