🚫🔥 𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗨𝗫 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 (𝗧𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬) 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 🔥🚫

𝗣𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘅 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳𝘀, and due to extremely dry conditions, low relative humidity, and gusty winds, a Burn Ban will go into effect for Sioux County beginning at 8:00 AM tomorrow. These conditions create a 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗹𝘆.

🚨 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀:
• No open burning is allowed
• This includes burn barrels, brush piles, and recreational fires
• Even small fires can quickly get out of control

🔥 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀:
Dry vegetation combined with wind can turn a small spark into a fast-moving wildfire in seconds. Help protect lives, property, and our first responders.

✅ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼:
• Delay any additional burning until conditions improve
• Properly dispose of smoking materials
• Avoid activities that could create sparks (grinding, welding, etc.)

We will notify the public when the burn ban is lifted.

Stay safe, Sioux County.
