At 3:30 this morning Coosa County dispatch received a call from a passerby of a small fire on the side of the road near the 194 MM on US-231. Hanover was paged to investigate. On arrival, there was a very, very small flame off the side of the road at CR 154 and 231. When crews pulled onto 154, it became clear it was not a brush fire, but a 1-car MVA with rollover. Coosa County EMS arrived and transported the driver. The small fire was the ejected engine from the vehicle burning in the ditch. Point of this post: If you see something, no matter how small, say something. It sometimes is not what it appears. Had the person driving by not seen and reported it, the driver may not have been discovered til daylight.
