🚂 A different kind of school day.

Today, we welcomed students from several schools for a day of hands-on history at the East Broad Top.

From the moment the buses arrived to the waves from the train, it was great to see students experiencing something they won’t find in a classroom.

Thank you to the teachers, staff, and students who joined us—we appreciate you spending your day with us.

The East Broad Top's Foundry, once used to melt down scrap metal and produce essential parts for the railroad, remains frozen as a testament to late 19th/early 20th-century craftsmanship.

Our extended guided tours are the only program on schedule that allows visitors to explore the Foundry and nearly every other building in the railroad's expansive shop complex.

Join us this Saturday at either 9 AM or 1 PM and experience a comprehensive look at a "day in the life" of the EBT's Common Carrier Era operations.
