JANUARY 1, 2026 the Lord burdened us to release the Word of the Lord for the Year…

2026- THE YEAR OF THE MISFITS
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 NASB
26 For consider your calling, brothers and sisters, that there were not many wise according to [b]the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
28 and the [c]insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,
29 so that no [d]human may boast before God.

1. A person who is not suited, adapted, or well-fitted to a particular environment, group, or set of expectations.
Someone whose character, behavior, abilities, or worldview does not naturally align with the norms or patterns around them.
2. Something that does not fit or is not properly suited for its intended purpose or place.
An object, idea, or element that is mismatched, improperly aligned, or out of place.
1. Chosen to Confound
“God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.”
📍 God will use unconventional vessels to expose the limitations of human wisdom. In 2026, expect those dismissed, overlooked, or uncredentialed to rise in power and insight that defies logic. The misfit becomes Heaven’s method of divine contradiction — proof that wisdom does not come from the academy but from the anointing.
📌 Those who were once questioned will now carry the answers. God will elevate those without platform or pedigree to perform purpose on a prophetic scale.
2. Weakened to Win
📍 “God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”
Strength in this season won’t be measured by muscle or might, but by surrender. God will display His glory through the humble, the healed, and the hidden. The misfit wins not by competing in the world’s systems but by carrying Heaven’s strength through vulnerability and truth.
📌 This is the year where weakness becomes weaponized — testimonies born from trials will have more power than titles.
3. Despised to Dominate
📍 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen… to bring to nought things that are.”
The very ones people called unqualified will disrupt structures built on pride. The “base” will become builders, and the “despised” will become divine disruptors. Misfits will not fit in — they will stand out as the evidence of God’s sovereignty.
📌 In 2026, expect a divine reversal — voices once silenced will shape systems; outcasts will become oracles; and God will showcase His glory through what others counted out.
