We would like to thank City of Raleigh - Government, Raleigh Fire Department, Assistant Chief James Poole, and Lieutenant Rodney Jones for assisting us in the donation of 39 Scott Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)/Air Packs and air cylinders. These air packs will bring ERFD to a newer SCBA standard that allows for safer and better operations of our firefighters.

🚨 FUNDRAISER UPDATE 🚨

Our East Rockingham Junior Firefighters Thin Layer Chocolate Cake Fundraiser has officially ended!

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased tickets, shared our fundraiser, and supported our Junior Firefighters. Your generosity and support help provide opportunities for our youth members as they continue learning, serving, and preparing to become the next generation of firefighters.

The drawing for the cake will be held on July 1, 2026. We will announce the winner on our page once the drawing is complete.

🚨 EAST ROCKINGHAM JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS FUNDRAISER 🚨

The East Rockingham Junior Firefighters are proud to announce our Thin Layer Chocolate Cake Raffle to help support our junior program and the future firefighters of our community!

We will be raffling off a delicious Thin Layer Chocolate Cake from Riverside Bakery in Hamlet, North Carolina — a local favorite known for their amazing cakes and desserts.

🎟 Ticket Information:
• $5 Per Ticket
• ONLY 100 tickets will be sold!

Once all tickets are sold, a winner will be drawn and announced.

Tickets will be distributed to members of the East Rockingham Fire Department to sell throughout the community. If you do not personally know a firefighter with the department, simply send a message to the East Rockingham Fire Department page and we will make sure you are able to get tickets.

Your support helps provide opportunities, training, equipment, and experiences for the next generation of firefighters. Every ticket purchased goes directly toward supporting our junior firefighters as they continue learning, growing, and serving the community.

East Rockingham Fire Department is very thankful for the opportunity to train alongside Richmond County Rescue Squad, and Hamlet Fire Rescue and EMS. These joint trainings are extremely valuable and help strengthen our partnerships and response as automatic aid agencies.

We would also like to sincerely thank Bostick BP, Towing and Emergency Spill Response for providing the vehicles and continued support of our training efforts. We truly appreciate it.

Attention: NC has issued a burn ban until further notice. This burn ban has been in effect since March 28, 2026.

What does this mean?
No open burning is allowed and no new burn permits will be issued until further notice.

Due to increased wildfire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits statewide. No new burning permits will be issued.
