🔥🚒 Rockingham Fire Department🚒🔥

Current Incident Alert

At 08:54, Rockingham Fire Department B-Shift was dispatched to a working commercial fire at 619A E Broad Ave. Prior to arrival Car 1 advised smoke was showing from Food lion on E Broad. Upon arrival crews made entry into the structure and swiftly extinguished the fire. Crews also utilized Tower 7 and gained access to the roof to check for any potential extension to the roof.

After confirming the fire was fully contained, crews proceeded with salvage and overhaul operations, followed by a detailed investigation. Our findings revealed that the fire was caused by an electrical wiring failure.

We are relieved to report that there were no injuries or fatalities during this incident. A big thank you to our dedicated firefighters for their hard work and professionalism in keeping our community safe!
