As end-of-year testing begins next week, we want to remind families that students cannot have access to personal electronic devices during testing sessions.

With technology continuing to evolve, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has placed additional focus on electronic devices and test security across the state. This includes devices such as cell phones, smart watches, earbuds, smart glasses, and prescription smart glasses.

Please talk with your students about the importance of keeping these items out of testing spaces. We appreciate your support as we work to provide a focused and secure testing environment for all students.

It is a true privilege to recognize our Support Staff of the Year, our incredible school bookkeeper, Mrs. Tucker. In the middle school, so much happens behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, and our bookkeeper is at the heart of it all. Her work often goes unseen by many, but its impact is felt by everyone. We are incredibly grateful for all Mrs. Tucker does each day and it is with great appreciation that we celebrate her as our Support Staff of the Year 🧡🚀🖤

📣 Volunteers Needed for EOG Testing! 📝

Rockingham Middle School is looking for any volunteer (ages 18 years or older) to help serve as proctors for our upcoming End-of-Grade (EOG) testing in May. Your support helps create a smooth, positive testing environment for our students—we truly couldn’t do it without you!

📅 Testing Dates:
• May 11 (Monday)
• May 12 (Tuesday)
• May 13 (Wednesday)
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ending time may vary)

👉 What do proctors do?
• Monitor the testing environment
• Help provide bathroom breaks
• Minimize interruptions
• Ensure testing procedures are followed

📌 You do not have to commit to all three days—help whenever your schedule allows!
