Two Charged After Multi-County Break-In Investigation
On October 10, 2025, officers with the Rockingham Police Department responded to Connor’s Convenience, located at 701 East Broad Avenue Rockingham, North Carolina 28379, in reference to a report of breaking and entering and larceny.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined that this incident was connected to a series of similar break-ins occurring in multiple counties across North Carolina.
As a result of a coordinated, multi-agency investigation involving numerous law enforcement agencies statewide, including the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), two suspects were identified and subsequently arrested.
On October 17, 2025, investigators arrested Bobby Ray Williams, Jr. and Beroy Reid, Jr., both residents of Greensboro, North Carolina.
Both suspects have been and are in the process of being, formally charged under Rockingham Police Department warrants with the following offenses:
(1 count) Felony Breaking and Entering
(1 count) Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering
(1 count) Felony Conspiracy
(2 counts) Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering Coin/Currency Machine
Bobby Ray Williams, Jr. was arrested and placed under a $5,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Richmond County District Court on November 19, 2025.
Beroy Reid, Jr.’s warrant is pending service.
This investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
