Our 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 is going strong! Don't forget to submit your photos for the month of May. The winner will be announced in the first week of June! We've had so many wonderful submissions throughout the year so far and can not wait to see what else you all can capture!
Winning photos from each month will be 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫, so be sure to submit your favorite photos of Hamlet for the following months. They can be new or old, but we would like them to be 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐞𝐭.

Calling all young artists! 🐝🎨

This is such a fun and creative way for students to learn about the importance of bees and pollination while showing off their artistic talents! We encourage families with 5th graders to check out the Bee Art Contest hosted by Leath Memorial Library & the Richmond County Beekeepers.

Be sure to get those entries submitted by May 15th! 🌼🐝

Do you know bees?

Honey bees are super-important pollinators for flowers, fruits and vegetables. This means that they help other plants grow!

Bees communicate location, distance, and direction of food sources using the "waggle dance".

Bees are responsible for pollinating roughly 80% of crops, which translates to over $20 billion in crop value annually.

What better way to celebrate bees, then with art!

We recognize that Mother’s Day can hold many different emotions. Today, we also hold space for those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, the loss of a child, whether young or grown, as well as those who have lost their mothers, and for those who carry that love in their hearts each day.
