Last Friday evening Rockingham Fire and Rescue along with other local Fire Departments were invited to Weathersfield for a live burn training. These types of trainings are crucial in getting hands on skills and do not come very often. Six members, an engine and tanker assisted and trained at this event. Fire behavior, fire suppression, air pack work, water supply and pumping were all practiced. A big thank you to Weathersfield Fire Department for allowing us to participate.

Shortly before this Ladder 1 responded mutual aid to the City of Keene for a building fire.

Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001.

On this day, Rockingham Fire & Rescue pauses to remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape.

We especially remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice that day, along with the law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, dispatchers, military personnel, and countless others who answered the call in the hours, days, and months that followed.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the courage, sacrifice, unity, and service shown on September 11th remain an enduring example for every generation of first responders.

We honor those we lost.
We remember those who served.
We will never forget.
