Evening history. Over to Richmond County and a news clipping from April 15, 1975. That's Tommy West giving a check to Captain Bradley McInnis of the Richmond County Rescue Squad, during a fundraiser to raise money to replace the squad's 13-year-old ambulance, pictured.

The first donation was $1 from Rev. W. W. Thrower, and a car wash was planned at the "Shell Station in Tri-City" on Saturday.

This past week, members have spent time with mutual aid partners from EAST ROCKINGHAM FIRE DEPT., Hamlet Fire Rescue and EMS and staff of Richmond Community College Richmondcc Public Safety, this two day training session was based on ARFF Rescue and Firefighting. We are proud to have been able to participate, also being able to better our mutual aid relationships. Furthermore, we appreciate AEST Inc. for our great instructor Robert Hammonds.

We appreciate Richmond County Airport Director Jeff Pressely for allowing the class hands on learning, and the anatomy and working parts of airplanes, also providing an understanding of his operations at the Richmond County Airport.

National Night Out - Part Two.

We enjoyed seeing everyone at the 3rd Annual Back to School Bash, and National Night Out. We hope everyone had a wonderful time.

A group of our volunteers completed their annual swim test Thursday night. This test gives competency of their swimming abilities and allowed for various training scenarios within the pool.

Once completed, members are allowed to operate within the scope of boat operations and allow for further training on operating department vessel’s.
