Sharon Setz and Lori Alice Friant founded The Ripple Initiative in 2016 as a grassroots neighbor-helping-neighbor enterprise. They discovered very quickly that the number one request they received was for beds. Since 2016 TRI has be turning shelters into homes by providing furniture and housewares to people transitioning into stable housing.
