Mental Health Awareness Month

For children, mental health helps shape how they express emotions, build relationships, learn new skills, and respond to challenges. Positive mental health develops through supportive relationships, safe environments, consistent routines, and caring interactions with trusted adults.

Mental health can be supported in many simple ways, including:

- getting enough sleep,
- staying physically active,
- maintaining healthy relationships,
- talking openly about feelings,
- practicing self-care,
- and seeking help when needed.

Early attention to mental wellbeing can have long-term benefits for children, families, and communities.
