If you’ve ever thought about signing up for your local fire department, do it! And if you havent thought about it, think about it! Lol. Come see us. We meet every monday evening at 7... 6:30 if there is a training. Come learn, help your community and have a good time with us!

On Monday evening, volunteers from Rockport, Centertown and Beaver Dam came together and did a training on forcible entry. We had a really good time as always.

Another evening of fire training in the books! And of course as you can see in the last photo, someone decided to be a smartass and got the step ladder for us ladies to run the pumps. 🤣🤣🤣 we have a good time

🔥 ELEVATED FIRE RISK 🔥
..ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER DANGER AND GUSTY WINDS TODAY...

Widespread elevated fire danger is anticipated today across the region during peak heating.

Sustained winds between 10 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph along with very dry fuels are the main concerns. Isolated gusts in excess of 35+ mph are also possible.

While minimum RH values this afternoon will range from 28 to 38% across the region above critical values, the continued very dry fuels combined with increased winds will make it possible for wildfires to ignite and spread rapidly.

‼️ OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED ‼️

Only pictures I got but Rockport and Centertown got together and did our driver's state training course. We all passed! What a fun one to do!
