Yesterday, we joined other Southwest Indiana SWCDs at the "Reclaiming Southwest Soils" workshop in Lynnville. There, members of the public were given the opportunity to visit "Big Kate", the historic walking dragline in Warrick County. Additionally, five different speakers gave presentations on multiple topics pertaining to reclaiming mine lands. We also had a delicious lunch catered by Oink Inc! This was a great opportunity for the public to engage in awareness of the reclaimed mine grant and conservation issues of Southwestern Indiana. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success!
