In Fourth Grade Spanish class we are learning about the Iberian Lynx, the most endangered wild feline on the planet, and comparing it to the Canada Lynx which lives here in Maine. It is really cool to bring Spanish and science together! Here is the live we**am we've been peeking at from a breeding center in Spain-how cute is that cub?! ~Señora http://www.lynxexsitu.es/directo.php

As part of Easter traditions in México, cascarones (confetti eggs) are made and then, on Easter, kids go about breaking them over each others heads- if you have an egg cracked on your head, it's good luck! Here are three easy steps to making them: 1) blow eggs and save the shells 2) fill eggs with confetti 3) decorate eggs using Mod Podge and tissue paper (or if you have white eggs, you can dye them prior to putting the confetti in- you will still need to cover the holes with tissue paper if you dye them)- have fun! ~Señora Speno

As part of our new theme on a year in the life of a bear, Kindergarten classes watched this trailer of a new nature documentary coming out in Spain today. It is amazing how much vocabulary they used to describe the animals and weather in this short video!! I am so impressed and proud of them! ~Señora https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGsalP0xRP0
